Studio 216 is an essential part to making Chaminade a fun, enjoyable and exciting place. Studio 216 is a news anchor video that is produced every other Monday that is made by the greatest filmmakers, actors, producer, and editors in Chaminade history: Jon (Sturm) Sturmon, Connor (Kqwanir) Dill, Jonah (J-Cop) Copley, Grant (G-money) Mueller, and Jack (Cleebo) Klebowski. Every week these legends come together and create these videos that bring joy and laughter to the students and faculty at Chaminade. However, it isn’t super easy creating these films. Things can go downhill real fast…
As I was passing by, I heard some stressful noises coming from the studio. I popped in and asked what was going on, and G-money gave me a concerned look as he uttered the words,
“We lost the file!”
I replied, “What file?”
“We can’t find the file that has the last bit of the next Studio 216 video!” They were cooked.
After many arguments and a lot of frantic typing and searching for this file, it was found by none other than Jonah Copley. However, it was only the audio. They were still cooked. Everyone let out a big groan and began to intensely search through the computer to try and find this lost file, but to no avail. Phrases such as “we are so cooked” and “our grades are done for” and “Mr. Bell is gonna be so mad” rang throughout the studio. But, I had an idea.
“Since Sean and I are done with our work, how about we re-record the script part of the episode with me and Sean just reading off one of your guys’ computers?” The editors looked at each other, then looked at me, then said,
“That’s actually a good idea.” So that’s what we did. What seemed to be the worst day in Studio 216 history turned out to be not so bad.
This story shows the discipline that the Studio 216 members have when introduced to setbacks when making these weekly videos. When presented with a problem, the guys don’t back down. They always find a way to come through in tough situations, whether that’s technical difficulties or failed experiments during recording. Even during the worst day in Studio 216 history, the guys always find a way to fix the problem and go about their business.
