Inspired, enchanted, and mystified. a true explanation of how I felt watching my glorious sugarplum king Drake take the stage at Enterprise Center. It was an experience like no other to see his excellency in person in concert and to see that the man himself Champagne Papi was actually real. I attended the Drake tour “As Big as the What” on February 12, 2024, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I was lucky enough to sit on the floor with 4 other friends, and it was worth every penny. Our night started when we got to Enterprise a couple of hours early from when the show started so when the doors opened we could be right at the front. When the doors opened we got right up front and were just feet from the stage. We waited for what felt like an eternity for Lil Durk to come out and open for his excellency. Once he was done, we had to wait another hour maybe until my glorious king came out.
When he first arrived it was like the heavens had opened and my life had become complete. He opened to the glorious and unique song “Virginia Beach” and came out of a box on the other side of the stadium when he was playing “Marvin’s Room.” During this song, I was enthralled by his glory and had mentally started levitating. He then played through his set giving us all a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
But the night was far from over. After a while Drake went off and J Cole came on and did his set of music. This was also an amazing experience to see J Cole himself walk just feet from me. I was also lucky enough to touch him with my right hand which I am yet to wash since. J Cole did amazing and then Drake came out again. They took the stage together until J. Cole went off and Drake finished the show.
He finished the show with “Slime You Out.” This was a glorious and once-in-a-lifetime experience. I will remember this forever and always thank God for the day I was able to experience and hear the glorious words of my six god king Aubrey Drake Graham. God’s Plan.
