Summertime is the biggest break from school and most work. We all look forward to it and plan to get the most out of this time. Some people travel while others spend time with their family.
In this article, I went around Chaminade and asked different people around the school about summer break, starting with the best summer break they ever had.
Isiah Shepherd, class of 2024, said, “Last year, every place we went to was to see family, there was lots of family time.”
Eric Marsek, class of 2029, added, “In 2022 when I went to my old school to play soccer with my friends.”
Coach Bennett, Class of 2001, stated, “In 2015, Had just gotten married, and my wife and I did a whole bunch of traveling WITHOUT KIDS.”
Mrs. Wright said, “2018, the year I went on a girl’s trip to Punta Cana to an all-inclusive resort.”
After focusing on their past and getting an idea of their best summer trip I asked what they were doing this summer break to compare.
Isiah Shepherd: “Playing 2k.”
Eric Marsek:” Playing soccer.”
Coach Bennett: “Going to South Carolina for a week with my family.”
Mrs. Wright: “I’ll be taking care of my newborn baby, spending time with family, lounging at a pool.”
Once I got an insight into what their favorite summer was and what they plan on doing this summer, I lastly asked what their top things to do during the summer along with what their favorite meal is to eat.
Isiah Shepherd: “Play video games, be with family, just have free time and I look forward to eating tacos.”
Eric Marsek: “Play soccer, Travel, and video games. My favorite thing to eat is Wings with Syberg sauce.”
Coach Bennett: “Playing with my kids, being poolside, eating good food. My favorite thing to eat is BBQ from Pappys.”
