- Pizza
Pizza is an essential part of the Super Bowl celebration. Whether you like pepperoni, meat lover’s, or cheese, you are most likely going to find it at the party. Pizza, however, is not unique to the Superbowl, and is a filler appetizer, hence the ranking at number ten.
- Sub Sandwiches
You are bound to have someone who brings a giant hoagie for all to share for the Big Game. An easy order, the fixings of meat, veggies, and cheese make it a great option. Like the pizza, the sub sandwich is at number nine because it is on the generic side.
- Layer Dip
Betting, overeating, and sports come to mind when someone makes a multilayer dip. Who wouldn’t want to indulge in this delicious appetizer? It comes in at number eight only because this dip is not the main attraction of the spread at the party.
- Pigs in a Blanket
When you set a giant plate down of these small guys when you get to the house hosting, you’re bound to find none left before even kickoff. Pair with your sauce of choice to complete the necessary and perfect bite.
- Buffalo Chicken Dip
A beautiful mix of cheese, chicken, and enough spice to burn off your taste buds lands on the list at number six. Whether you use veggies or chips to dig into the amazing buffalo chicken dip, you are bound to enjoy it.
- Chips and Queso/Salsa
Who doesn’t want to see it on the counter when you watch your favorite team play on this unofficial American holiday? An instant classic when it comes to the Superbowl, best utilized when eaten with the Tostito’s Scoop tortilla chips, mouth-watering melty cheese and cool crushed tomatoes bring joy to the Lombardi Trophy celebration, even though the Chiefs won it.
- Chili
While the stew of beef, beans, and other ingredients doesn’t look appealing, the taste of it makes up for the otherwise shoddy appearance. Your tastebuds will thank you for eating this, yet the bathroom might not an hour after the game. Then again, all of these foods might have a similar effect.
- Ribs/Brisket
A tender, fall-off-the-bone bite brings reason for existence even though the Chiefs won another Super Bowl. Barbeque sauce perfectly rubbed into this quintessential dish completes either Ribs or Brisket. When you hear football, chances are barbeque is involved as well. America is the greatest for a reason.
- Nachos
Now, brisket is amazing, but pairing it with an unhealthy amount of carbs and dairy is even better. Add all the fixings to your plate and it will be piled higher than the fireworks shot up at the end of the game. Tanginess, spice, savor, and a little bit of sweet are the flavors in the perfect batch of nachos.
- Buffalo Wings
I am biased, but this is my list, and I say wings should be on it. Drumsticks and wings are the most important appetizers at the party. A dollop of ranch on the wing completes the GREATEST Superbowl appetizer of all time. Whether you are at B-Dubs or in the mancave, wings reign supreme.
